3 MOVEMENT REMINDERS

 

I thought it was worth sharing these reminders as we all continue to make movement changes throughout the day:

  1. It most likely won’t be comfortable. But it shouldn’t be painful. Learning the difference between the two takes a lot of mindfulness and body awareness!
  2. It will get easier and feel more natural as you make these changes. It will hopefully feel like second nature, soon!
  3. Celebrate small changes! The small ones add up to bigger change over time. Too big of a change at first can lead to pain in the body or a failed habit change.
 

MANIPULATION…FOR YOUR BRAIN?

 

We talk a lot about manipulating organs, and how that affects the brain. But did you know the head (including the brain) can be manipulated? As in manually worked on to improve space, nutrient flow, and fascia movement?!

It shows the brain with multiple ‘impacts’ or strain on the tissue. Each area of strain affects other areas in the head (and usually the rest of the body as well). These strains can be from a head trauma, disease process, surgery, emotional trauma etc. 

The photo on the right is a more organized, strain free brain!

How we work on the brain is the same as the organs. Feel where the tension is by using a hand to listen in on what the body has to say. Then use various techniques to increase space for the tissues to move around. Pretty powerful stuff!
