Invincible Mentorship

  • Why
Dr. Missy is excited to offer mentorship opportunities for providers who have studied through the Barral Institute and are looking to grow within a supportive, like-minded community of lifelong learners. From 2022-2024, she worked closely with physical therapist who was new to visceral manipulation. Together, they translated course concepts into real clinical practice—refining manual skills, working through case studies, and building the confidence needed to deliver high-quality patient care. These mentorship offerings were created from that experience, as well as from her own mentorship journey and role as a teaching assistant with the Barral Institute.
  • Who
These options are designed for any licensed provider who has taken at least VM1 through the Barral Institute.

Virtual Option

A More Connected Way to Learn the Barral Approach

Many virtual Barral learning spaces rely on written forums—valuable for searching past questions, but often limited in real-time collaboration. Through my own experience, I’ve found that exchanging voice memos with other providers about specific patient cases offers a deeper, more practical level of insight.

This mentorship space is designed to bring that same dynamic, collaborative experience to a small, supportive community.

What This Is

This is a virtual mentorship platform for providers studying the Barral approach to connect, discuss case studies, and ask questions related to visceral, neural, and manual therapy work.

Please note: This program is independently run and is not affiliated with the Barral Institute.

How It Works

We’ll use Slack as our central hub, allowing for:

  • A dedicated case study channel
  • Text and audio messaging for flexible communication
  • Direct messaging for more focused conversations

As a member, you can ask unlimited questions via text or voice message. I will personally respond twice per week (Tuesday mornings and Thursday evenings) to ensure thoughtful, consistent support.

Live Learning + Ongoing Support

  • A monthly 60-minute live Zoom call for group discussion and Q&A
  • All calls are recorded and stored in Slack for future reference
  • One monthly “education nugget” delivered via audio or written format, which may include:
    • Real case studies
    • Common themes from group questions
    • Insights into specific conditions and treatment approaches

Small Group, Deeper Learning

To keep the experience meaningful and interactive, this group will be limited to approximately 5 participants. This ensures everyone has space to engage, ask questions, and learn without getting lost in overwhelming discussion threads.

Investment

The membership is $249 per month. Your card will be securely stored and billed on the first of each month.

There is no long-term commitment—you may cancel at any time.

If you're looking for a more personal, case-based, and collaborative way to deepen your Barral work, this space is designed for you.

In Person

Schedule a patient you want guidance with OR a friend/family member. You will be able to shadow, ask questions and jump into treatment with me when appropriate.

Cost will be our normal hourly rate for the 55min session ($260). To schedule this, please reach out to our patient coordinator via call/text/email and let them know it's for mentorship.

In Person - Group

The intention behind this option is to give providers a real-life treatment session setting, with the addition of a group study environment. We have 3 treatment table set up in our office, in an open room with mock patients. each provider will have their own 'patient' to work through a 55min treatment session while I walk around and guide everyone.

Since providers that study the Barral work all have different backgrounds, we try to focus all sessions mostly on the general assessment + treatment flow that Barral teaches. This means you will take a brief subjective and try to find a movement test that is either restricted or painful. Then do a general & local listening, followed by treatment. Then re-test the movement to see if you made any change! The mock patients will leave and then we'll have 30min to debrief to talk through any questions.

Cost is $50/provider
